Some news

Thought I'd give you a quick news update since we're halfway through the tour!

I've just announced a show at the South Bank Centre in London on the 17th December. Click here for more details.

Chris is currently appearing on All New Generation Sex on Fiver on TV in the UK. It's not too embarrassing and he's occasionally funny on it.

Chris is defining words on wordia.com check out some of his attempts at it here.

Finally Chris did some filming when on tour in Swindon. Check him out here.

The tour continues

Hello one and all,

So I'm having a lovely time on tour, had some great gigs. Got a standing ovation in Bath which was mentally amazing, had such a huge response it was lovely, a beautiful theatre and friendly folk. Tunbridge Wells was rather quiet but everyone was raving after the show, then I had a cracker last night in Brighton. It was possibly the most attractive audience I've ever had.

Ben (my tour manager) and I seem to be spending a lot of time in our van... anyone know any good car games to play?

Off to Maidstone tonight where my mate Colin Murray is coming to see the show, I hope it's good as if it's not he'll go off on one!

Speak soon blog lovers

Chris xx

The Tour Begins

Well hello, how are you?

I'm currently recovering from the first night of my UK tour, which went pretty well I think. It felt very much like a first night to me, but the audience seemed to really enjoy it which is splendid. A couple of tricks went slightly wrong, but that'll be changed by the next show on Friday in Reading.

It's all very exciting being on the road, myself and my trusty tour manager, best friend, director fella Ben are up and down the UK over the next two months in our lovely Renault Van filled with props and magic, ready to entertain the nation. So why don't you come along and see the show? All the tour dates are at www.chriscox.info and we're hoping to add some London ones very very soon. Horrah and horray.

See you there?

On Tour

Hello Everyone,

Fresh from finishing my run at the Edinburgh Fringe I'm about to take Control Freak on a UK Tour. It'll be a two act version of the show combining the award winning Everything Happens For A Reason with the new show in a super evening of mind-reading nonsense!

I've created an event for each date so tell your friends and come see me, you'll find them all on my group page at http://www.new.facebook.com/group.php?gid=18020437483

Chris Cox : Control Freak
THE UK TOUR.

You think you have free will? You think you can decide what you choose? You think fate can't be changed? You need to think again! 24 year old Chris Cox will change the way you think! After selling out his entire run and winning the Zebra Award at the 2007 Edinburgh Festival - the mind reader who can't read minds is back reading minds with a new 18 date UK tour entitled 'Control Freak' which kick's off in Crawley on the 5th October.

'Control Freak' focuses on our ability to control those around us, through a mix of magic, psychology, neuro-linguistics programming, reading body language, subliminal messaging, influencing, devilish good looks and lying. It combines his award winning show 'Everything Happens For A Reason', with this years highly acclaimed sell out Edinburgh Fringe show 'Control Freak' in funny, entertaining, jaw-dropping and cutting edge fashion leaving you laughing, thinking and rubbing your chin in a slightly curious fashion.

Chris looks at how fate and chance are mysteries of the universe, but he's worked out that there are rules to the universe, and if you learn those rules you can control the universe. As such he'll be attempting to control the universe, (as long as the universe is an un-biased selection of people in a theatre watching him and thinking he's
great!)

By removing the audience's free will and controlling them without them knowing it, he attempts to prove that he can make it look like he can read their minds! Chris will be looking at the 'what if' moments in life, seeing if everything happens for a reason and trying to work out how all those little things about our lives add up to turn us into the person we are. It all comes together in a stunning finale that proves Chris has been in control throughout and will leave the audience in no-doubt that he is as much of a geek as he is a control freak.

With celebrity fans including Ricky Gervais, Dannii Minogue and Kelly Osbourne, 'Control Freak' is a show not to be missed! Audience participation is crucial!!!

So that's it

Hiya.

Sorry. I've not posted in a week, Edinburgh was all a bit of a blur. I've just got back home from Edinburgh and am about to go to sleep in my own bed for the first time in a month. I feel very blue to be back from Edinburgh. As usual it's such a wonderful way to spend the month, and it flew by. It always amazes me how quickly it flies past, but that said, it also amazes me that the next Edinburgh will come round very quickly indeed. I'm already starting to think about what to do next year, I want a brand new, all new show.

So I got the train back from Edinburgh with Ben today and we started to work out and plan what we're going to do for our tour which starts in just over a month. It's great that I'm going to get the chance to do the show again and again.

I had a really good set of final shows (bar the Friday and Monday) two really good ones on the Saturday and Sunday to sell out crowds. I also had the chance to do Stephen K Amos' chat show which was rocking, and got to hang out with all my friends one last time before heading home.

I've learnt a lot from this years festival, and can't wait to do it all again. Roll on Edinburgh 2009, till then, I'll see you on tour.

This is the title of the blog. No really. It is.

So I've not really had a chance to blog properly for quite some while, and annoyingly that still seems to be the case. I'm sat in Brookes Bar in the Pleasance Dome at the moment tapping away some words for your eyes to feast on.

My good friend and old flat mate Colin Murray (off of the Radio) came up to Edinburgh yesterday so we hung out and went to see Russell Kane and Tim Minchin, both of which were very good. Colin is doing his radio show from up here all week, so if you get a chance do have a listen. It's on Radio 1 from 10pm.

Today I did an interview on Forth FM which was great fun, Arleen who was interviewing me said I was pretty and good looking, I blushed and told her she is wrong. Nice of her to say though.

I'm hoping to get to see Potter Potter, Rhod Gilbert and Jon Richardson this week. I don't know if I will get a chance to, but one can live in hope.

I've had some great shows recently, and some celeb audience members including Richard Bacon, Barry Cryer and Stefan Golaszewski, it was uber flattering to see them in the crowd.

Right time to go and get ready for my show, I will write something proper soon, perhaps it'll be about my hunt for an iphone.

What I've done

So recently I've brought some batteries for the remote control we use for the DVD player on stage. Saw We Need Answers (which whenever I say this makes me thinks of a load of little dancers) which was wonderful, I also had a good chuckle while watching Girl and Dean and tried to see Nina Conti, but she was sold out.

The weekend is upon us and I'm hoping to go get an iphone, but I don't seem to have anything with my home address on it to prove where I live, so I might have to wait on that. I shall also be seeing many more thing and will attempting to write a proper blog for a change, rather than these quick little updates.
