Rules of the house

We like to keep things simple, but at the same time keep Broadway Baby a nice place for everyone to be. We don't have any long and complex user agreements, but here are a few basic rules. Failiure to comply to these will lead to your access to the site being suspended.
  • Do not use any part of Broadway Baby for spam. Talking about your show on your profile page is fine; cross posting on everyone's profile pages can be considered abuse of the service. And don't even think about posting messages about your get-rich-quick schemes, casinos or, ahem, enlargement services. We ain't interested.
  • Be a good netcitizen. We don't tolerate abusive posts, slanging matches or name-calling, so don't use Broadway Baby to carry out a bitch-fest with people you don't like.
  • You are not allowed to use Broadway Baby for any illeagal purposes. This includes uploading images to which you do not hold the copyright; libellous remarks; encouraging other to take part in pyramid schemes or anything else we consider to be a bit dodgy.
Freedom of Speech is often misunderstood to mean you can say what you like on any forum or in any publication. This is false; Freedom of Speech gives you the right to say what you like but does not oblige others to publish your opinion. If you wish to spout forth and the editor does not want to pass it on, you have no legal right to force them. If you want to share that opinion with the masses, your rights - such as they are - are to start your own magazine, newspaper or website to say those things. On Broadway Baby we encourage differing opinions (especially when it comes to your thoughts on Fringe performances), but we reserve the right to edit what is published.
